Rumor Or REAL?: Basketball Wives LA Gloria && Matt has Split? O_o

Hmmm... First thing I said when I heard this was 'I knew that was gonna happen.' && 'I bet the ladies from Basketball Wives Miami are Laughing Out Loud!!!' However this story is sad, yet true. Lakers forward Matt Barnes just announced in an email that he and his fiancée, “Basketball Wives” castmate Gloria Govan, have split!.

“I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship,” Barnes’ statement read. “We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.”

According to the LA TIMES, Matt had a Twitter exchange with a fan who suggested Barnes should marry Govan or else someone else will.  Barnes responded with: “He can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

OUCH!!

The couple was scheduled to get married last August but decided to postpone it. Gloria explained:

Matt and I feel like marriage is something that should not be rushed into. It wasn’t any outside party. We’re committed and dedicated to working on our relationship and we’re still together but again, we felt like this wasn’t something that was in our hearts at the time. Marriage is something that is definitely our goal but again, we’re not rushing into something that we just feel like isn’t right for us at the time so we’re just taking the time to work on our family.
